| CAVITY TREATMENT

Don't Give Up Too Easily.
Unlike other parts of the body, teeth do not regenerate once they are damaged. That’s why it’s essential to opt for conservation treatments as much as possible. Remember, treatments are not permanent; every dental procedure has its lifespan and limitations. Thus, it’s important to consider the possibility of retreatment in the future.
At New N Dental, we focus on both treatment and prevention.

| POINT
The earlier you treat cavities, the better.
If the pain from a cavity is intermittent, fluctuating between periods of pain and relief, people may underestimate the severity and delay treatment. However, leaving a cavity untreated for too long can lead to inflammation or bacterial infection reaching the nerve areas, necessitating root canal treatment. In worse cases, it might reach a point where treatment becomes impossible, leading to the need for tooth extraction and possibly an implant.

Types of Cavity Treatment
01
Resin
Used when a small cavity forms or the tooth is slightly chipped. The damaged area is removed and filled with tooth-colored resin. Treatment time is short and can often be completed in a single visit. The color is natural and almost indistinguishable from surrounding teeth.
02
Inlay · Onlay
Used for larger cavities that cannot be restored with resin. A custom-made restoration is created by precisely shaping the damaged area and attaching it. Both the tooth’s form and function can be accurately restored, providing excellent strength and aesthetics.
03
Crown
Used when the cavity is severe, the tooth is extensively damaged, or after root canal treatment when the tooth is weakened. A crown covers the entire tooth, protecting it from breakage or wear and restoring the tooth’s original shape and chewing function.

| PROCESS
Root Canal Treatment for Damaged Teeth
When a tooth is in pain due to reasons such as cavities or fractures, this treatment involves removing the nerve and vascular tissues that cause pain, and then filling the root canals with biocompatible materials to restore tooth function.
The process begins by exposing the cavities and the root’s nerves, followed by the removal of inflammation.
After the nerve is removed, the tooth’s root is filled, and the crown part of the tooth is restored with materials such as resin.
The treatment is finalized by covering the crown part of the tooth with gold, ceramic, or other suitable materials.

| ADVANTAGE
Advantages of Root Canal Treatment
01
Extended Tooth Lifespan
By performing root canal treatment and adding a crown, the functionality of a damaged tooth is restored, thereby extending its lifespan.
02
Cost-effective
Generally, the cost of receiving a root canal followed by a crown is more economical compared to replacing a lost tooth with options like bridges, dentures, or implants.
03
Minimal Pain During Treatment
The use of pain-free anesthesia systems reduces discomfort during the root canal procedure.
